It comes with an internal rechargeable battery that is not replaceable. The thermometer is described as very accurate and fast, except for the last 10 degrees when it reads slowly. It features a rotating LCD screen and a waterproof design. The device turns on when the probe is opened and has a second wired probe for high-temperature alarms. However, it doesn't have a low-temperature alarm and can't be calibrated.
