T-Rex Editorial Review
The T-Rex Reptile Terrarium Substrate is a great product for pet owners who are looking for an alternative to sand. The Desert Snow 2lb Bag is made of specially-processed paper pulp that provides good coverage and is much better than sand. However, it does not provide much opportunity for digging or burying. The substrate works well for bearded dragons but is not recommended for ball pythons as it is too dry for them. If you have a 40-gallon tank, one bag of Desert snow will be sufficient, but it is better to start with one bag and see what happens.
