I see there is no bottom. What can be used for a catch pan for an animal that will be kept indoors?

I used a thick tarp and covered with sand. I used zip ties to attach to ends of Cage. My iguana loves the cage. That will be your cheapest option

Is this safe for outdoors? I have hawks in this area, and at times snakes.

we have ours indoors. I think it would be fine against hawks but I think the snake situation may present a problem

It’s seemed pretty perfect. It’s really heavy and thick...it would be hard to break any of the vertical pieces. I wouldn’t call them wire...they are more like thin rods...very stable.

Does this cage come in a box to be put together at home?

A box is not sturdy enough. Mine arrived with pieces zip tied together, in a cardboard box secured with plastic straps, laid on a shipping palette.

The Medium Walk-in Aviary is an absolutely gorgeous and extremely well-built aviary. It provides a lot of space for the price and is sturdy enough to attach large branches. The rounded edges add an attractive touch. The latches and bowl holder are well-designed, with a clever mechanism to prevent birds from removing the bowls. The installation process can be a bit difficult without instructions, but with careful consideration, it is manageable. The aviary is not recommended for outdoor use due to some open ends that may be susceptible to the elements. Overall, it is a fantastic home for birds and other animals.
