The Zwave Light Switch Aeotec Wall Switch is designed for lighting control and requires a ZWave hub for operation. This three-way switch with a repeater feature has a Z-Wave Plus Gen7 compatibility with a maximum power capacity of 1800 watts. The illumino feature does not light up when off. It can work without a ground wire, and only AC Live and Neutral are required for power. The switch can’t be used with a ceiling fan. However, some customers have experienced issues with the switch's design and functionality, which requires a reset sequence that is unreliable. There is no air-gap method to remove power, and cycling the power for other devices would be affected in this case. Also, it can cause many problems that use the switch as their access to the Z-Wave network. This brand generally has good performance but may not be experienced enough to manufacture a device that gets mechanically interacted with every day. Moreover, some customers’ boxes are already opened or missing their screws and pigtail wire. The switch is out of stock, and customers do not want to receive the same opened boxes again.
