Is this product lead free?

Not 100% certain, but I'm quite sure that it is lead free. Mine is simply beautiful and preforms even better! Mine is of the highest craftsmanship and can't imagine why or where any lead would need to be introduced. One of the most beautiful tools in my kitchen!

Can this product be used to crush gemstones or decorative stones?

We are using it to crush pills to make them easier to take. I can’t answer you question because I never tried to crush gemstones. Sorry.

How can I restore the glossy coating of this product after washing it with Dawn dish soap?

Should not have happened using Dawn dish soap. Rinse it off with cold water, then dry with a micro soft towel. I found this Mortar & Pestle too small, and purchased a much larger one. Hope this helps, good luck!

How do I season the mortar and pestle?

Nicole doesn’t understand the purpose of this small set. It is used for delicate things like saffron along with salt or sugar to create friction. At the cost of saffron, you don’t want to lose any in a standard mortar.

What are the precise measurements of this product?

Height and diameter are 2-1/4”.

How do you season the green onyx pestle and mortar? Is the the same process as for a Granite one?

No seasoning...put dry herbs in. Its beautiful! Smooth surfac
