Most importantly these wafers provide good relief against GERD, heart burn and associated conditions. This is as good as it gets. Efficacy will vary from person to person because we and our conditions vary.
  • Question : Confused--these are wafers, turn to liquid in the mouth after chewing briefly. So just swallow it? Thought mastic gum was like actual chewing gum?
    Answer : These are chewable tablets. In order to get the most benefit from DGL, the tablet should be slowly chewed, allowing your saliva to mix in. This enhances the healing. It's a must have for reflux sufferers, but as a DGL-only chewable. These particular tablets also contain mastic gum. Mastic gum is not chewing gum. It is a resin---and the taste is heinous. I recommend choosing a capsule for mastic gum. It is a miracle for ulcers or reflux issues.
