It depends on what other pets you have. Advantage works for dogs and cats so I wouldn't think you would need to separate them while using this product. If you have an elder cat or dog, or one that has health issues, you might ask your vet about contact with the other pets. I do not know what other kinds of pets you might have. I would check with your vet if you have hamsters or guinea pigs, reptiles etc in regards to this treatment being safe for your other pets.

Can this be used on kittens?

I started using Advantage II on my kitten when he was about 2.5 lbs. And used a 2nd dose at about 3.5 lbs. But I didn't fine the product very effective at killing or greatly reducing the infestation. Now that he is over 5 lbs I'm about to try another product.
