- Question : Do I need to pay monthly subscriptions or fees to use the remote access features?Answer : No, the system can be easily set up to operate in Router Mode for live remote access from your iOS or Andriod device at no extra cost.
- Question : Is there only one lens or multiple lenses in the camera?Answer : There is only one lens, a state-of-the-art FHD 1080p CMOS visual sensor, that provides a 120-degree wide-angle view and ultra-crisp night vision.
- Question : Can I hear my baby even if I'm not in the same room?Answer : Yes, the monitor features a 2-way talk back feature that allows you to comfort your baby from the parent unit or your smart phone.
- Question : Which type of additional camera should be bought?Answer : I bought 2 sets in order to get two cameras. Use the monitor and go to the menu, once there click Left, Left, Right, Right, then "Talk". This will open a new menu that will allow you to pair a new camera. I was able to add the 2nd camera on the monitor! It only allowed to add up to 2 cameras in my monitor, tried with a third one to no success. I have 3 of them working in my phone with no issues!
- Question : I work nights and would like to be able to check in on them . Does the app work miles away via phone app also?Answer : Yes, I am in the US and my dad can check it on his phone app in Canada

VTech Video Monitors Editorial Review
The VTech VM901 is a baby monitor that has both a parent unit and an app that can be used on your phone. It's easy to pair additional cameras with a parent unit, which is great if you need to monitor multiple children at the same time. The app works from miles away and is compatible across countries. Motion detection is present on this device, however, when the camera detects movement, it only alerts the parent unit and doesn't move in the direction of the motion. The wifi on the parent unit can be turned on and off. However, it's not without its flaws. The parent unit only lasts for a few hours, and the quality of the video is not great. Additionally, the camera quality when transitioning from day to night is poor. There have been reported issues with the camera's ability to connect to the monitor, and it can stop working after only a few months.
