The Winegard GM 9000 Carryout G3 Portable Automatic Satellite Antenna is a great option for those who want to watch TV on their travels. It has a larger reflector that provides 20% stronger reception strength, making it less likely to lose signal in bad weather, partial tree canopy, etc. It is generally intended to be set up outside after arrival at destination and can be fixed on the ground, on a tripod, or even mounted on the RV ladder. It is not made to be mounted on the back of a semi-truck, unlike its previous version, the G2+. It can be flat-mounted on an RV roof with the roof mount kit. However, it is essential to note that the unit is not compatible with the Winegard mt-4000 RV ladder mount, and the older roof mounts are not compatible with the carryout g3. The Winegard GM 9000 Carryout G3 is an excellent product, reasonably priced, and easy to set up. The antenna automatically identifies the satellite and can be functional within five minutes, making it feasible to find the satellite without resorting to any other means. Though some customers found the product perfect and a money saver compared to others, some were not entirely satisfied with the product's build quality and raised concerns about the unit not feeling well made. One customer could not recommend buying a used product as they had a poor experience.
