The Makita XPH14Z is a cordless hammer driver-drill made in China with a Japanese-made chuck and trigger. It weighs 8 pounds with a 4 amp hour battery and is compact but powerful. The drill has a lot of torque and a great hammer function, making it perfect for tackling concrete and stucco drilling. The drill slips into hammer mode when drilling, requires some force to switch between modes, and the handle can only be installed at a perfect 90 degrees.
