Does this smell like the shave soap?

I've never used the shave soap. I've been using this cologne for, probably, 50 years. I learned of it when I was stationed in Germany while in the military. This cologne or after shave has a wonderfully light pleasant scent.

Is this made in Germany or China?

The bottle I have states it is made in Germany...

I'm looking for the one with the blue line under, not the red line. Do they have it?

If you look carefully there is a bottle with the blue line on sale. It's a smaller size than the one I want to buy which is 10.1 ounce. My current bottle has the blue line underneath the slanted Tabac name. It seems they change the look of the bottle every so often. My original bottle which I bought back in the '70s had 2 or 3 polka dots, don't remember if they were blue or yellow.

What is the difference between this and the Aftershave? I have the aftershave, and seems just like cologne to me...

I have the cologne and I prefer the aftershave. Appears to me that the aftershave scent lasts longer. Also, The Tabac when I was stationed in Germany back in the '80s seemed much better. I heard they changed the formula.

No. They do not have a spray version of the cologne. They have a spray version of deodorant.

I wonder why Tabac Original purchased in the U.S.A is disappointing, European blend is much superior. I noticed the difference as I am using it since 1960

I use Tabac every day and think it is the best. I have not used a European blend. I thought that the item I have was made in Europe.

Tabac Original is an EDC cologne, which has been around for over 50 years. It has a wonderfully light pleasant scent, that's easy to apply and not at all overpowering. It's made in Germany and the bottle has a red line under the slanted Tabac name. Although, the look of the bottle seems to change every so often. The aftershave scent lasts longer than the cologne. It also appears that the formula for the cologne may have changed since it was first released. The checkout clerk at Safeway recommended it to one user and they loved it.
