They are not big enough to set in more than 2-3 layers of fabric. Even a single piece of a heavy fabric, like canvas, might not work. These snaps are just right for doll clothes, children's clothes or things that have a minimum need for strength.
- Question : Can this be used for braAnswer : These small snaps might keep a shirt closed but I don't think they could keep a bra closed--just not enough strength, I think. They are small, light weight plastic snaps, the kind you might see on children's clothes. I used them to make washable, re-useable panty liners and they were just right for that purpose.

Need to replace some buttons on my scrub caps and prefer snap on instead of sew on buttons.Answer : I used them for toddler rompers and they never unsnapped. My granddaughter is a nonstop girl. I would think they would hold up for your masks.
