  • Question : What is this? Mine does not have the button looking thing on the end. does white or grey side go against cat's skin?
    Answer : The white side goes against the cat's fur. The grey stripe is on the outside. Keep in mind that you need to stretch the collar out first and give it a quick snap so that it activates. Make sure the collar is not on too tight. I adjusted it so that I can just slip on the closed collar over her head (cut off the excess). I also slip it back off when she comes back in the house.
  • Question : Is it waterproof?
    Answer : All Hartz UltraGuard topical drops are water resistant 48 hours after application. This means your pet can be bathed after 48 hours, go out in the rain or go swimming and still be protected for up to 30 days.
  • Question : Will this repel mosquitoes?
    Answer : I am not sure if it repels mosquitoes or not but I would not recommend this item. I placed this on our cat and he became extremely lethargic, vomiting and was beginning to burn the area around its neck. We took it off and it wasn’t on 8 hours.

    Answer : Pro has the reflective strip
  • Question : what if your cat sleeps with you?
    Answer : Our Research Department advises that normal contact between you and the cat when wearing the collar should cause no harmful effects. However, they also advise that the collar is not a toy and should not be played with by a child. We would not expect any problems with our flea and tick collar being on the cat while it sleeps with you. However, we do recommend taking the normal precautions, such as washing hands if touching the collar directly.
