The BOSTITCH Flooring Nailer, Pneumatic, 1-1/2- to 2-Inch MIIIFN is a powerful tool for installing hardwood flooring. It only uses Bostitch Cleat nails with two length options of 1 1/2” or 2”. Gauge is irrelevant. It works best for 3/4” thick flooring only. It has a high Janka rating so it can handle even the hardest woods. Misfires may happen when the nail count is close to the last nail, so keep an eye on the nail count and refill before it’s too low. It’s recommended to set the compressor to automatically build back up to the max psi which is between 90 psi and 100 psi. It’s a great tool for installers who do not need to switch between fasteners with one handle position only. The MII is designed for one type of fastener. The MIII will offer 3 different handle options that cater to flooring installers.
