DocoShield is a lip balm containing 10% docosanol that helps in treating cold sores by preventing new active virus from latching onto the cells of the lip. It provides longer contact time than Abreva and resolves fever blisters faster. The product goes on thick, sticks to where it’s applied and starts to knock out the cold sore right away. It is a long-lasting lip balm that doesn’t dry out the lips in the long run.
