I use it and I weigh 220 however, the nose raises up out the water and I get scrounged between the dorsal fin and the tail. So what I do is I use the tail to rest on while pushing my 5 year old daughter around.
- Question : How do you fill air? My air inlets appear to have a plastic cover inside do I need to punch a whole?Answer : I think there is a small simple valve in the air inlet, try squeezing it about halfway then blowing into the inlet.
- Question : Does it contain latex?Answer : No, it does not.
- Question : My whale does not hold air, check all around... don't know?Answer : It has happened to my whales too, but it's nothing you should worry about. It only releases a tad bit amount of air.
- Question : Could you sit on it and bounce around until it pops??Answer : It’s very hard to sit on, balancing is the problem, but I’ve found that to the kids, half the fun IS TRYING TO SIT IN IT!!! LOL
- Question : Is this whale safe for a small child like 5-8 years old to try blowing up by mouth or would it be too hard for him? No problem for adults to blow up.Answer : 5-8 year old would never get it done, I use an air pump.
- Question : What is the material? Is it vinyl?Answer : I believe so or plastic What ever material they use to make floatie devices. Extremely durable. I used it for a skit for Jonah and the whale and the kids were sitting on it and then I took it to the pool and it worked great.
- Question : How thick is the polyethylene?Answer : 1.5mm. Tail popped on mine but the body is holding up to my kids jumping on it.
- Question : How long does it take to inflate?Answer : We had one of those hand inflators and it took minutes.
