The Aquam Water Treatment Drops come in a compact and simple system ideal for backpacking and hiking where natural water sources are available. Mixing part A and B takes five minutes before adding to a liter of water. The water is then ready to drink after 15 minutes. The chlorine taste is tolerable but nothing can be done about it. The packaging could be better such as a small container where one tablet can be dispensed at a time, especially when hands are very dirty. There is no detectable taste or smell of chlorine in the water after treatment. Some customers have reported leaks, but this may be due to packaging issues. One reviewer used the product to add to a water pump from natural water sources, and it worked very well, preventing bacterial and protozoan contamination. Another reviewer used Aquamira drops in conjunction with an MSR AutoFlow Gravity Water Filter and reported no beaver fever. One person reportedly used it for valley fever, and it worked after two weeks. No expiration date is visible on the package.
