This tape will hold your office seat to the window edge....bear in mind the strength of the tape will be as good as the surface it's glued into, use common sense.

Can this be used to tape a bathmat to a tub to stop from sliding?

I don't know about the bathmat. I've used it to tape the side molding on my truck's back door. So far, it has held and it is exposed to water and soap. The tape is thin and stretchable and very sticky. Hope this helps.
