Using a smart switch to power off the filter twice a day may also lessen the purging issue.

The Oase Bioplus 600 thermo external filter is a premium external filter that comes with not just biological and mechanical filtration but also has a chemical filtration tray and a pre-filter.The filter includes a built-in heater with an adjustable range that is on a separate power cord from the filter, thus making it a versatile product. The BioMaster 600 is an excellent external filter that comes with trays that are large enough to hold enough media. While a professional engineer has reviewed and described the design issues of the unit, OASE customer service denies the problem with the filter purging air.
