Would someone kindly explain why this Orbit with a brass connector gets lower ratings than what looks to be the same timer with a plastic connector?

I personally prefer brass connectors, plastic have the potential to crack or ruin the connecting threads if they are not properly aligned; my personal experience.

Can this be set for any day of the week, ie, every 4, 5, 6 or 7 days? My DIG, cannot. It jumps from day 4 to 7.

The frequency is set by the number of days...so 1 is every day, 2 is every two days, and so on. You can also set every 6 hours or 12 hours. And you have start times as well.

Batteries normally last the whole season, (roughly 4 months) but this year they only lasted about 2 to 2 1/2 months. You need to pay attention because, of course, lack of water can kill flowers.

You will not be able to set up 3 different times for every 7 days. You can set up the unit to run at one time a day, and then you can select an interval for the unit to follow from every 6 hours, 12 hours, or 1-7 days.

How do I get to the sprinkler log, so I can print it off?

This controller does not have sprinkler logs, what are you looking to do?

Does it matter which end is used for water inlet?

Should use the brass coupling to connect to the ware source.

Does this decrease the water pressure from your faucet

I have not noticed any pressure problems.

The directions say that after you’ve selected, say, the start time, “Turn dial to save changes.” Turn dial to what? It doesn’t work.

Turn the dial to SET TIME and set the time; turn the dial to the START TIME you want and set it using the buttons; turn the dial to HOW LONG and use the buttons to put in HOW LONG; turn to HOW OFTEN, the choices are once per day or twice per day (12 hours apart according to the instructions).

Everything is set correctly; on manual it says it’s on and counts down the time. Why does no water flow through? My hoses are new with no blockages.

TIMER DOES NOT WATER. CHECK IF: Timer is set to AUTO. Hose faucet is on. Batteries are low. Clock is set to correct time including AM and PM. Rain Delay is on. Clear if necessary.
