Can you use this product if you have braces?

Don't see why not. Doesn't require to get molded. Ready to use right out of the package. Best mouthpiece I have purchased for my son over the last 6 years. Difficult to chew through as well. Watch NFL games and you will see a lot of the running backs use them.

No it doesnt attach to side of helmet. It hooks through the face mask. Wasnt a fan of it

The Markwort Vettex Model 25 Doubleguard Football Mouthguard with Lip Protection is a no boil mouthguard that is ready to use straight out of the package. It can be used with or without braces and is popular amongst NFL running backs. This mouthguard hooks through the face mask rather than attached to the helmet. Although made in the USA, a buyer can get 100 black and 100 silver mouthguards for $1,400. Customer reception is mixed. Some find the mouthguard comfortable and durable, while others found it breaks easily or isn't flexible enough. However, one customer mentioned that it was exactly what their son wanted and matched his jersey.
