The ice cleats are effective at preventing slips and falls on outdoor surfaces like icy pavements, roofs, and trails. They are relatively easy to put on, but not easy enough to take on and off multiple shoes, so it's recommended that they are left permanently attached to a pair of outdoor shoes. The cleats are secure on flat ground and gentle rollers, but not recommended for steep hills. They are versatile, and can be used for trail running, running on residential roads, or walking. The cleats are made up of six tungsten carbide spikes embedded in a rubber mesh. Some customers found the sizing confusing and inaccurate, however, most found the cleats as a good investment that improved their everyday activities during winter months.
