The DC America UBP18181-BR 18-Inch Cast Stone Umbrella Base is made from rust-free composite materials with a bronze powder-coated finish. It weighs 22lbs and is capable of supporting a 7' umbrella, but it won't keep it upright during strong winds even if it's cranked shut. The product comes with plastic inserts that allow for a 1" pole or a 1 1/2" pole; without the inserts, it will hold a 2" pole. The 18" diameter base is recommended for 9-foot umbrellas, but customers can also use it for 6-foot outdoors umbrellas as long as the pole's diameter is 1 1/2 or 2 inches. Customer reception: The product received mixed reviews from customers. While some had a great experience with the product, others complained that it didn't keep their umbrella upright during strong winds and even bent their umbrellas. Some customers also didn't like that the product doesn't come with instructions and that there was fiberglass in the box.
