Altura Reusable Filters Editorial Review
This disc filter is a stainless steel alternative to paper filters, designed for use with Aeropress coffee makers. It has very fine precision-drilled holes and is approximately 2.5 inches in diameter and 0.008 inches thick. There is generally no backwash from coffee grounds, and it is suitable for filtering even fine grinds. The product is made in the USA, is strong and durable, and does not allow for grounds to escape. The product has generally been well received by Consumers, although there have been some criticisms primarily focusing on packaging misconceptions and difficulty in cleaning. The result is generally a nice, strong, and rich cup of coffee with no sediment, although there is a bit of silt that comes through (as with all metal filters).
