I need this to survive early high school level pieces so I need to know how durable is it

This stand is surprisingly durable, as long as you take care of it properly. Having this stand in a marching band section for percussion might decrease its lifespan due to the constant wear and tear environment. Overall, though, it’s very sturdy and should last many years.

Can this hold a piccolo snare? 13.5 in?

Yes, currently I am using it exactly for holding my piccolo snare.

Does it come with the pad?

The stand does not come with a pad. You have to buy that separately.

Can this hold a marching snare drum?

It can hold a snare up to 14 inches...

Does it come with one stand or two?

It comes with just one stand; however, the picture shows two stands to properly depict the product with and without a practice pad on it.

does it come with the pictured practice pad ?

Again, the stand does not come with the pad. It’s only displayed in the picture so that you can see what it would look like with a pad.
