I'm assuming so... these are electronic, and when there's a loud sound ( I use mine at the gun range), it's blocked. They do allow conversation... until there's a loud sound. I would think drag racers make an equivalent sound.

Right side, unless yo put them on backwards then it would be left. In ant gase the will still work.

Is there an American flag patch on each of the sides?

Mine do not have the American flag... mine are just green with Walker insignia.

What can you hook up to the audio Jack?

You can hook into a machine that plays nothing but whales communicating under water.
