- Question : Sharpening a higonokami knife! Does anyone know if there is another way to sharpen the higonakami knife other than a whetstone?Answer : Thats will be one of the best ways! It will take longer but will have the best result. Other then that i would use a spyderco stand up sharpener.
- Question : What do the characters on the handle and blade mean in English?Answer : 肥后守（higonokami) brand 定 （fixed）驹 （horse）I’m not sure about the last word meaning here. Translated literally it’s horse. But maybe it means a knife here.
- Question : Does this come with the lanyard hole like in the pictures?Answer : Yes it comes exactly like the picture, with the lanyard hole, indentation on the open side of the handle, the writing, etc.

HIGO NO KAMI Pocket Knives & Folding Knives Editorial Review
The Higo No Kami 10 Pocket Knife is a traditional Japanese folding knife with a brass handle and a sharp carbon steel blade that is pinned to it. The knife does not have a lock and is secured by holding the tab tightly. The blade is stout, sharp, and very tight; this keeps the knife from opening unexpectedly but wears in as the steel polishes the brass. The knife has a very simple design and is ideal for light cutting jobs. Additionally, the knife's steel sports a fairly obtuse edge that can be made sharp quickly. Overall, the knife is of high quality, with clean and well-made engraving on both the blade and the handle.
