- Question : Is this hard to install yourself?Answer : If you want to control it remotely, the app works well for that. If you want a downstairs temperature sensor, that can be added too, but it will only use 1.
- Question : Does this model have the capability to control humidity or just read it?Answer : To my knowledge and understanding it definitely recognizes the humidity, and you can control by selecting a 'comfort zone' in terms of humidity and it activates the unit even if the temperature is at the proper setting.
- Question : Does this thermostat work with a single stage cooling/single stage heating, 4 wires indoor unit and 2 wires outdoor unit?Answer : This thermostat will not work with 4 wires. It requires a common wire to power it, so 5 wires are needed inside.
- Question : Will this thermostat work with an Acculink communicating system?Answer : If it is a communicating thermostat, you need Acculink 7 (or xl950).
- Question : Does this connect to Alexa via Nexia?Answer : Yes, once the thermostat is enrolled via Nexia, then you activate the Nexia skill in The Alexa App and you will be able to voice control your temperature.
- Question : Has anyone experienced that the thermostat reading does not change during cooling/warming cycle?Answer : I'm not sure what you mean. You program the heat and cooling temperatures. Are they different?
- Question : Does this thermostat support emergency heating system?Answer : Emergency heat should only be used in the event your heat pump quits working. It will enable the supplemental electric heating elements inside the air handler to heat your home.
