National Geographic's Pacific Crest Trail map guide is an accurate and easy-to-read booklet format, perfect for through hikes. The map is not cluttered and includes helpful landmarks and campsites. However, the map goes from north to south, which can be annoying for most through hikers. Additionally, the scale is in km, which is an inconvenience in America where people use miles. Despite these minor drawbacks, the map guide is a great product and comes with resupply information and elevation profiles at the bottom of each section. It is a fantastic backup for a primary GPS device and is made of high-quality waterproof and tear-proof materials.
