The lamp itself is flexible and functional, however, the clamp is made of cheap plastic and is unusable. The lamp wobbles in the clamp-base and the final pivot to adjust where the light points is awkward. The lampshade comes off sometimes when trying to adjust the head. This model has a smaller shade so the bulb protrudes past it. It has uglier paint than similar lamps from IKEA, with some damage to the paint where the metal shows through. On the positive side, the lamp is perfect for a desk and provides great brightness. Purchasers can use up to a 60w incandescent bulb or an LED bulb under 10 watts. One buyer used a 100W equivalent LED and it still provided plenty of light. Some reviewers recommend buying a metal clamp separate from the lamp.
