The Catalyst Game Labs Battletech: Clan Invasion Box Exp Set is a great introduction to the Clans for new players and a good starter box for Clan-interested Battletech players. The set includes a star of Clan mechs, two points of elementals, a play map, rule book, sheets for the mechs, some cardboard pop-outs, 2 dice, pilot and mech cards, and a short story. The range of mechs is extensive and the quality of the plastic miniatures is very high. However, there were some reports of packaging issues and mould misalignment. The maps included in the set also left something to be desired, but this was not a significant issue. Overall, reviewers recommended the product but suggested purchasing the "Game of Armored Combat Box" first or in addition to this set, and that it is important to remember that it is not a full game.
