- Question : How difficult would it be to accidentally activate this device?Answer : Fairly difficult. The yellow flap on the front protects the activation mechanism and the spring is robust.
- Question : Once activated, is there any type of confirmation that your signal has been received?Answer : The unit will keep blinking while the signal is transmitted. There is no return confirmation, but you can perform a self-test before going on a trip.
- Question : Will this product work in the Caribbean nation of the Dominican Republic?Answer : It depends on the government of that country if they allow communication on that frequency.
- Question : What is the range?Answer : It works worldwide as it communicates with the satellite. It will transmit signal for 24 hours, and we recommend getting EPIRBs, GlobalFix V4, Pro, or iPro if search and rescue needs more than 24 hours to find you.
- Question : Does this have interchangeable batteries?Answer : You would have to send the beacon for a battery replacement after 7 years. If you ever use it in an emergency, we will replace it for free.
- Question : Has anyone actually used it?Answer : Yes, hundreds of people have been rescued all over the world by these beacons. Check the manufacturer for several stories.

The ACR ResQLink 400 is a compact and lightweight personal locator beacon designed to provide worldwide coverage in case of emergency. The unit features a robust spring mechanism and a protective yellow flap to prevent accidental activation. Once activated, the device transmits a signal that blinks for 24 hours without providing any return confirmation. However, self-testing can be done before a trip to ensure the device is working correctly. The ACR ResQLink 400 comes with fresh batteries that expire in April 2029 and does not require any subscription. In case of an emergency, the beacon can be sent back to the manufacturer for a free battery replacement. The device can be attached to gear or a belt using a floating pouch or a clip.
