The KA-BAR 1266 Modified Tanto-Black knife is a modern twist on the traditional combat knife, with a design based on the "osoraku" style used in Samurai arts. The unique shape of the blade is optimised for combat situations with slashing, stabbing, and cutting in close combat. However, the smaller blade profile makes it less utilitarian for bushcraft tasks. The blade thickness is 0.165", and the straight edge is non-serrated so it can be sharpened on a whetstone. The handle is solid with grippy material. The knife comes with a hard plastic sheath that retains the knife tightly, making it challenging to draw sometimes. It is an excellent knife with a unique design, and it looks amazing with its graceful tip in Japanese style.
