- Question : Do I need to enlarge the hole in my older Primo grill to fit the new probe?Answer : Some older Primo grills have a hole that is too small for the new probe to fit into. Primo recommends enlarging the hole using a 3/8 masonry drill bit. This does not effect your Primo warranty.

- Question : How long is the probe over-all, including the threads?Answer : Overall length is three and one half inches. Threaded portion is one and one quarter inches. Requires a three eights inch diameter hole. My old Primo Grill had a smaller hole. Used a carbide masonry bit to enlarge as per instructions from Primo Grill website.
- Question : How to calibrate thermometerAnswer : The adjustment screw is located on the very end of the probe. You can use a Phillips-head screwdriver to twist the screw and adjust the temperature as desired. My favorite method of calibration is using a glass of ice water, and setting the probe to 32-F.

PRIMO 200012 Grill Thermometers Editorial Review
The Primo Grills Thermometer is a great replacement option for those who have a Primo Ceramic Grill. It now comes 200% larger and has the ability to calibrate for improved accuracy. The thermometer is very easy to install taking less than five minutes. However, note that some customers have had to drill out the hole in their Primo as the shaft was of a larger diameter. Customer feedback has been mostly positive. Customers love that the thermometer is very easy to install and is very accurate. It is also much larger than older models, making it easier to read. Some have encountered difficulties with installation since they had to drill out the hole, but for most, this was not an issue. Overall, the Primo Grills Thermometer is an excellent replacement option, offering high accuracy and better visibility.
