I haven't had this problem with this product yet, but it can happen with anything that comes in a spray bottle. I usually get another spray bottle (they have them at the dollar store) and use the new bottle. You have to remember that you are dealing with a slightly sticky substance and to keep the spray area clean--wipe with a moist cloth after use. I hope this info helps.

Why does it come without a lid and plastic ?
