    Answer : Spray Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Ready to Spray: For Northern Lawns when daytime temperatures are consistently above 45° and below 90° (Below 85° for Bermudagrass). Ideal daytime temperatures are between 65° - 85°F. Do not apply if air temperatures are expected to exceed 90°F. On Bermudagrass, do not apply if air temperatures are expected to exceed 85°F. At high or low temperatures, weeds and grasses shut down to protect themselves and will not readily absorb enough weed killer to be killed. Hot temperatures also increase the risk of damaging the lawn. If temperatures get above 90°F the day of application we recommend you water the lawn in order to reduce potential of lawn damage at these higher temperatures.
  • Question : How effective is this product. I carefully spread this product this past week. Yet today, clover and other weeds still show.is this product any good?
    Answer : The product is effective, but it may take a few applications to fully eradicate the weeds. It is best to turn off irrigation for a couple of days after application. The application should be repeated every 21 days until the weeds are eliminated.

    Answer : No, this product cannot be shipped to addresses in New York.
  • Question : Would I need to remove the crabgrass and weeds from the lawn and flowerbed from the root after spraying this product and it turns yellow?
    Answer : No, removing the dead weeds is not required. It is a personal preference whether to remove them or not.
  • Question : Does the concentrate bottle attach to Ortho direct-connect sprayers? One of pictures looks like it does, but one looks like it does not (back side).
    Answer : No, the Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Concentrate bottle does not connect directly to a hose end sprayer. It can be used in the Ortho Dial N Spray or any USA hose-end sprayer recommended for weed control products.
  • Question : How long does it take for the weeds to start dying? I sprayed this 5 days ago, followed all the directions, and there are no signs of weeds dying yet.
    Answer : In ideal conditions, visible results can be seen in hours. When the weeds are young, well-watered, and temperatures are between 65°-85°F, the results will be seen more quickly. Visible results will take longer if weeds are more mature, watering is inconsistent, temperatures fluctuate and are higher or lower than 65°-85°F. It can take 14 to 28 days for weeds to be completely controlled to the roots.
  • Question : How long do you have to wait to fertilize?
    Answer : Wait for 24-48 hours after applying the product to fertilize. This is to allow the product to dry and be absorbed by the weeds you are trying to get rid of.
  • Question : Can you just pour the concentrate liquid in a Scotts Liquid fertilizer container which hooks to a hose and start spraying?
    Answer : No, Ortho WeedClear Lawn Weed Killer Ready-to-Spray is a hose-end container sprayer and cannot be used in another hose-end sprayer.
  • Question : Can I apply early mornings when it is 70 degrees ? How long for results ? I applied quarter gallon last week no results so far
    Answer : For best results apply to a dry lawn when weeds are actively growing and temperatures are between 65 degrees and 85 degrees. This product takes a minimum of 3 weeks to completely kill weeds. However, it has proven to be much more effective than faster-acting weed controls.
  • Question : Is this good for weeds growing through stones around my home?
    Answer : Yes, it has been shown to be effective on weeds growing through crushed stones and similar surfaces.

It is ideal to use when the temperatures are Consistently above 45°F and below 90°F. The ideal temperature for application should be between 65°F to 85°F. However, not to be used when the air temperature exceeds 90°F or on Bermudagrass when air temperature exceeds 85°F. It is essential to turn off the irrigation for a couple of days after spraying the product. Ideally, visible results should be seen in hours. However, it can take between 14 to 28 days for weeds to be completely controlled to the roots. The product is easy to use and comes at a reasonable price point.
