    Answer : It is a water-based pigment ink.
  • Question : What is the size of the ink bottle?
    Answer : The size is 60ml.

    Answer : Yes, it is made in Japan.
  • Question : Can I use this in a fountain pen?
    Answer : This ink is made to be used with dip pens. It is not tested on fountain pens by the manufacturer, Kuretake, so please use at your own risk as it may cause problems.
  • Question : Would this work with the kuretake no 40 brush pen?
    Answer : If It's the same brand, I'm sure it should work, but I haven't tried myself as I only use this ink with a G-pen
  • Question : What is the difference between the manga black ink and the super black ink?
    Answer : The manga black ink is water-resistant. The painted surface is glossy and dries quickly. The super black ink is water and alcohol resistant. It has a matte finish and is eraser-resistant.
  • Question : Is this ink the same as the Kuretake Sumi Ink cartridge refill?
    Answer : I put this ink in a regular (cartridge) fountain pen and found it does not work well. Its a bit thicker and dries quickly, so it tends to clog the nib. Its best when using it with a nib and holder. So, I can only imagine the cartridge version must be more deluded with a longer drying time.
  • Question : Is this ink waterproof as to be used prior to watercoloring?
    Answer : I only color my work with this ink digitally, however after doing some research I found that it is waterproof and can be used with watercolors.
  • Question : Does this ink bleed with alcohol-based markers like Copics?
    Answer : It depends on the kind of paper you're using. If you don't want the ink to bleed, I suggest Bristol board paper.
