- Question : Just received the pruners, how do you get them to open. They are locked and no instructions how to unlock?Answer : On the lower handle is a little black slide. Sqeeze the handle and move the slide to the rear. Reverse the procedure to lock them back.
- Question : what is max size of branch it will cut?Answer : That would depend on the type of wood and your strength, but a practical limit is around 1/2 inch thickness (diameter). For larger branches try a folding pruning saw or 'loppers'.
- Question : Why does photo shows handgrip but photos from reviewers show smooth handle, which is it? These are 2 different prunersrsAnswer : Smooth handle. Returned,as locking mechanism was almost impossible to get open.
- Question : How widely do the jaws open? I’m cutting green cacti with no woody stem.Answer : I don’t know how far is the effective opening, probably 1 1/4 to 1 1/2” inches. Beyond that and the rachet would be ineffective. I can’t visualize your Cactus but i would think a good pair of leather gloves and a sharp knife would work best.

- Question : is it easy on small weak hands?Answer : It depends on the size of the branch. Little effort is required on most 1/4' branches. Also, the thumbnail picture of the shears are not the shears I rated.
- Question : I bought these last year and after using them several times the pin came out. I just bought another pair. How do you return the defective pair?Answer : Go to hardware buy a new pin and install. Fixed!
- Question : How much do they weigh?Answer : Just looking at the picture I would say about 35 pounds but really they got to weigh no more than one quarter pound or LESS,,,....
