Has anyone tried mounting this in a box truck and not have them fall?

I have two of these hanging in our shop side by side. They work very well for our farm/ranch needs. In a truck, the bins might slide a little from side to side, but I do not think they would fall/fly off even if you hit a large bump. If anything, it might make screws and bolts fly out of the bins, but you can buy lids for them to keep the items more secure. All in all, I think they would work well in a service truck. I do not think you would have any trouble.

40 is the maximum fit. 5 rows of 8 bins each.

What is the total size? Do the four panels combine to make a 35" x 19" storage wall or are there four panels that each measure 35" x 19"?

Each panel is 35x19. You can arrange them however you want - 2 x 2 would make a 70x38 wall. Or you could put all 4 vertically or all 4 horizontally. Or combine with another set to cover an even larger area. These are a great way to hang bins.

My plastic bins measure 4" wide x 5" from front to back x 2.75" deep. Will these fit this louvered rack?

Yes, our bins should have a lip on the back to hang them.

How to wall mount - if this is exactly 18" wide can it be wall mounted to 16" spaced studs? What is the exact width between the mounting holes?

Mount one side in the stud with 1/4” x 2” lag screws. Use a bunch of plastic drywall anchors for a 1/4” hole on the opposite side. It will hold find unless you fill each bin with lead marbles.

Some pictures show horizontal ribs on the louvered panels, others show "flat" - which is correct?

All panels have "ribs". That is where the bins hook to the panel. The "flat" looking photos are from straight on. The ribs are there, just not visible.
