Yes. The instructions say to press the power button twice to lock the temperature in and press and hold to unlock the temperature.

Is this a wet to dry iron?

No it is devoted to dry hair but it works perfectly and straightens the hair quickly... I would definitely recommend it...

Does this flat iron pull your hair?

No it doesn't. It's a great flat iron.

How long have you had this iron for? And does it still work well?

I've had mine a few months and love it. It works great! I was thinking of buying a 2nd one to put in my travel bag even though it's a bit heavy because I think it works a million times better than my old lighter iron. I love this flat iron!

How long is the cord?

Approximately 4 feet. There is plenty of cord length. This is a great product.

Do I need to blow-dry my hair first?

You should ALWAYS blow dry your hair first before using a flat iron.

Is the heating surface 2 inches?
