The new replacement bands I have been getting are different in that they are bigger and aren't snug and they seem lighter. They don't grind down the nail as quickly. I still use them as my dog has black nails and hated being clipped, but these new replacement bands are not as good as the older version.

Don't use tools on your dog that aren't meant for a dog.
- Question : Will the Furminator refill bands fit the Oster brand grinder?Answer : I'm not certain whether or not Furminator bands will fit Oster brand grinders. However, I can say that Furminator bands are inconsistently sized. Even if they potentially fit Oster grinders, some band batches are super tight and some band batches are fairly loose fitting. Supremely annoying. I've switched to the Casfuy grinder which has a diamond drum bit grinder (it lasts a long time), it is rechargeable thus eliminating the need for batteries (that need constant replacement), has three ports for different nail sizes, and it is significantly quieter than the Furminator grinder so the dogs are less bothered.
