- Question : I purchased this for soap making and it doesnt say high oleic anywhere on the jug. whats up with that? is this really high oleic safflower oil?????Answer : In their nutrition label, they claimed 11g or monounsaturated fat and only 2g polyunsaturated fat. Oleic acid is monounsaturated fat. The other natural form of safflower oil is linoleic which is polyunsaturated. So I think if they are holding to their nutrition label, you are getting the high oleic acid version of safflower oil. I guess no worries.
