The Wilton 11744 Low Profile Drill Press Vise is built from fine grain cast iron and produced in China. The vise has 1/2-inch wide slots for table mounting, though the advertised set of bars and bolts do not come with it. The screw action requires two fingers and is noticeably less sturdy than previous Wilton models. The movable jaw alignment rod helps with paralleling clamps, but as it wears over time, the jaw can move more freely. The vise's finish on the body is poor, and quality remains below previous Wilton models. However, the vise is more reliable than Harbor Freight's $25 model. The jaws of the vise can be shimmed, yet it remains a great option for small drill presses at an affordable price.
