- Question : Is this 4 inches in height or 4 inches in diameter?Answer : 4 inches in diameter, about 5 1/2 inches in height, from base of stand to top of globe.
- Question : Does it spin 360 degrees?Answer : Yes it does and it also tilts. Hope you like yours as well as we likes ours!
- Question : How current is this globe?Answer : I bought this globe at Barnes & Now about 6 years ago and it was up to date then as far as I know. It's not like some globes where they kept the old names of countries that have changed since then. I'm not a geographical expert but even as small as it is I use it as a reference to see where certain countries are. I hope that helps.
- Question : How small is the writing? Would someone struggle to read the country names?Answer : Hi. I do not wear reading glasses, but I do wear glasses to see in the distance. I do not have any issues reading any of the country names. It's sized perfectly to sit on your desk, yet still usable as a globe.
- Question : Does this globe include the annexed Crimea?Answer : I don't know. I gave mine to my grandchildren. Prime t too tiny.
- Question : Is the equator fixed to the holder? Or does it turn/swivel freely? If so, is the equator marked as a bold line or more subtle?Answer : The equator is the same color as the light gold of the stand and is of the same material. The equator is attached to the stand of the globe allowing the globe to move freely and turn.
- Question : Is the base enough room and good quality to engrave something?Answer : Not really. I purchased it to use as an award and had it mounted to a marble place at a trophy shop. That part was really inexpensive and easy to do
- Question : Can you easily read all the text on the 4 inch diameter globe?Answer : I can, but I use readers, can’t without them. They are 2.0 so not very strong.
- Question : Is this globe metalAnswer : Yes it is metal. Also, it is very small. Just an fyi.
