  • Question : Does the headset come with controllers?
    Answer : The headset only comes with the headset controllers and some other parts such as an adapter for eyeglasses, power cord and wall charger.
  • Question : Is there an easy access library of compatible games?
    Answer : Yes, they have their own native store inside the headset where you can find a plethora of games, movies, experiences, and other apps just a click and a download away. You can also link up to Steam and SteamVR to play VR compatible games you already have.
  • Question : Can you play Fortnite?
    Answer : You could use VorpX, a software that enables a lot of 2D display games to be played in full 3D with headtracking. However, it will have to be played with a mouse and keyboard or similar comparable control scheme, or remapped buttons with combinations called cords for uncommon button mappings.
  • Question : Are these the refreshed models with the included silicone face pad covering?
    Answer : Yes, it comes with the older version mask and the extra NEW silicone face shield. Oculus is also sending new face shields to those that apply.
  • Question : Does this work as well as a big screen TV for watching YouTube and streaming content?
    Answer : Even better than a big screen TV! The VR covers your entire field of vision. YouTube videos, Netflix content etc are absolutely amazing on the Oculus quest!
  • Question : Is it comfortable with glasses on and will the quality of the pictures be compromised?
    Answer : The headset comes with a glasses adapter for near-sighted folks, but there is a $75ish option for lens adapters to your prescription for all the Oculus headsets.
  • Question : Why do you have to have Facebook for this game?
    Answer : Starting in August 2022, they are rolling out Meta accounts. You will no longer need Facebook when this happens.
  • Question : If you wear prescription glasses, will it affect how you see through the view screen?
    Answer : The Oculus quest comes with a separator that makes space for your glasses, however, it is recommended to get prescription lenses for the device for a better experience.
  • Question : Do you have to buy a monthly subscription?
    Answer : Nope, but there are workout apps that you can subscribe to if desired. Otherwise, you can go to the store (with WiFi) and buy games and download any free ones you might enjoy.
  • Question : Will the version they sell work with the voltage in my country?
    Answer : Yes, it should work. The headset works with a voltage of 220V, just like in Chile.

The Meta Quest 2 is an advanced all-in-one virtual reality headset with 128GB of storage. This headset comes with the headset controllers, an adapter for eyeglasses, power cord, and wall charger. It has a built-in library of compatible games, movies, experiences, and other apps that are just a click and download away, but if you are more tech-savvy, you could link up to SteamVR to play VR compatible games you already have, sometimes at a higher resolution. It is comfortable to wear, and you do not need glasses for farsightedness. For those who are near-sighted, there is a glasses adapter or a $75 option for lens adapters to your prescription. The 128GB version costs $699, but there are bundles with extra accessories that are not required to use your quest.
