The Xiwai 3 Hard Disk Control System Intelligent Control Management System HDD SSD Power Switch with Low Profile Bracket is a low-tech solution that works. It occupies a PCI slot and requires a molex (instead of SATA) for power. It has three spring action buttons to power up only the drive(s) you want to use, making it controllable and predictable. One customer was able to use it to select between their two operating systems easily and without issue. However, another customer noted that the device lacks documentation and thus had difficulty figuring out how to use it. Another customer noted that the switches may have a low quality. Overall, the product is practical and affordable for users who are looking to have complete control over which hard disk drive(s) they want to use.
