While the package describes Whole Golden Lentils are these lentils actually split?

These are whole lentils, they are a few splits as a result of cleaning the lentils but they are whole.

Is this the same as Toor Dal or any other Indian lentil?

This could easily be substituted for authentic dal in an Indian recipe. The Montana golden lentils are a little larger than the Indian dal I have seen, but it is softer than French lentils and cooks up quickly into a dal-like consistency. I have never tried sprouting lentils but I don't know why they wouldn't.

Are the yellow lentins are not really lentins but moog bean ?
