The Trinity College TM-375B Standard Irish Bouzouki is a great instrument for its price. It comes with a hard shell case which is of good quality. The bridge on the instrument needs to be set up after delivery to ensure proper tuning, but the process is straightforward. The black version of the bouzouki is slightly cheaper than the natural finish bouzouki, but this is because the natural finish requires a higher grade of spruce. It is recommended to use D'Addario Irish Bouzouki Strings, Phosphor Bronze, loop end, tuned in unison. The setup can be changed to unison for G and D courses rather than the default octave. The neck can be long which can make it difficult to reach some chord shapes. The tonal quality and volume of the instrument is not as strong as some other models which may require further tweaking. Some reviews suggest that the frets are slightly misplaced in their build which causes the notes to fall significantly sharp when fretted, but this issue appears to be isolated.
