They are lower to mid more like it. Like a tennis shoe. Not bad for hiking and every day wearing.

Do you know how long replacement shoestrings should be?

I have 3 pairs of these , the oldest 3 years old , and haven’t needed replacement shoestrings yet . I think 45 inch length would , probably work , but I like them a little longer and always bought 54 inch length for my hiking shoes , back when I had a pair of Sketchers that wore out shoestrings , regurlarly.
