What type of portable battery would I need to power it for about two hours?

Contrary to what others have said, you can potentially power this with a battery, you'll just need to use an inverter. This product has a power cord that contains no 'adapter', the adapter is inside so this item requires 110/120V to be supplied directly (hence the need for an inverter). As to its actual power consumption, I'm not sure as there seems to be little information on this actual device about this. 'Common' power consumption for projectors seems to be about 300 watts, so if you want to run it for 2 hours you'll want a 600wH capacity battery (ignoring inverter efficiency losses). If you're talking a 12V battery, then it'll need to be a minimum of 50Ah (usable). If this confuses you, then yes, the simple answer is ... it can't run off a battery.

What type of hookup does it have for external speakers?

Aux, and if your device like fire stick has bluetooth, you can do that too. I have a home theatre system plugged in.
